You are in a middle of a heating conversation with some associates at work when suddenly, you felt a sudden gush of perspiration trickling down your armpits. This puts you in a very embarrassing state that even your heads-up and appealing look turns out to be useless. This is a very uneasy scenario; and of course, you wouldn?t want to be drawn in with this kind of situation all because of your excessive sweating.

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive perpiration, is a medical condition that is characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, which is more than the required regulation of the body temperature. This condition can either be localized to specific parts of the body such as in the hands, feet, axillae and groin, or can be generalized. This condition does not only put a burden to health, but at the same time, affects your social life, especially when communicating with others during important matters. Most sufferers have very low self esteem; activities become limited because instead of working out in the open, they prefer to work at home where they become more confident.

Actually, the probable solution to stop excessive sweating is not hiding it. When this is not treated, body odor may be developed through time and the condition may be worsened. It?s not even the best solution to give up. As a matter of fact, there are a number of answers to your problem that is available in the market, or even just in your homes.

One fast treatment for excessive sweating is doing the “natural” way. Natural remedies are, by far, one of the easiest and safest ways to reduce excessive sweating. Other pharmaceutical products such as aluminum chloride or botox shots resort to some side effects that may even worsen your condition. Your hard-earned money may even prove worthless if you resort them to buying these artificially-made products.

The most useful way to put an end to excessive sweating is still the use of natural treatments because the give you a lasting effect as well as providing you with a positive result. Parts of this natural treatment plan are home remedies. It?s not that difficult to treat excessive sweating on your own as long as you are guided with the correct ways on how to handle with it. By using these natural remedies, you?ll become stress-free from the miseries that excessive sweating has brought you.

It is an all too common misconception that facial sweating only affects people who are overweight or obese. Although facial hyperhidrosis is exacerbated by these weight problems it is also seen in people who are within normal healthy weight ranges for their gender, height and age. People who live with facial sweating which is medically known as facial hyperhidrosis not only have to suffer from the sweating but also from the psychological pain it causes as well. This condition often makes those who suffer from it feel isolated, embarrassed, helpless and even antisocial and paranoid and can dramatically and negatively impact their lives.

Don?t be fooled by the name of this condition. Facial hyperhidrosis can affect more than just the sufferers? face. The face, scalp and neck can all be affected with this excessive sweating. For people who suffer from this condition even the slightest physical activity can result in their head, face and neck being drenched by a downpour of sweat. For women, facial sweating can be even more of an annoyance as it runs their makeup on a regular basis.

Facial hyperhidrosis isn?t the end of the world. It is indeed treatable. Ultimately it will come down to surgical or non surgical methods and your preference on them. Surgery involves risks, possible side effects and significant financial costs/. When it comes to surgery there is always a chance that it may lead to other complications.

Prescription antiperspirants are the most commonly used non surgical treatments for facial sweating. These are generally available over the counter and are said to be quite effective in improving this condition.

There are also topical antiperspirant solutions also available. These solutions need to be left on your skin in the affected area for usually around six to eight hours but for exact time frames check the instructions included with the product. These products must be applied only to skin that is completely dry otherwise you run the risk of experiencing an acute epidermal irritation. Once you wash the solution off you will soon begin to sweat again. This is not a cure for facing sweating, just a temporary fix for the symptoms you experience.

These days doctors and dermatologists have been exploring many other treatment methods. The most prevalent treatment avenue is the well known cosmetic surgery dug Botox. Botox injections have been proven to be victorious at combating axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating). The downsides when it comes to this drug are the possible side effects, its financial costs and the fact that it only lasts a few months to a year at most. Botox is not really for you if you are a person who is squeamish when it comes to needles either.

Everyday new herbal and other remedies are being discovered or developed so don?t give up hope. Doing some trial and error for a while will more than likely provide you will a solution for your facial sweating that actually works? You now have the information you need and now it?s time to eliminate your facial sweating once and for all.

One of the more obvious natural processes of one?s body is sweating. Sweating is perfectly natural, and different people sweat different amounts depending on their bodies and environmental conditions. However, certain people might find themselves sweating excessively under their armpits. Such people suffer from what is known as Axillary Hyperhidrosis. People who are affected by this condition generally have sweat dripping off their armpits, and because of this have an odour that might even be resistant to deodorants. This condition is caused due to the over stimulation of the sweat glands by the sympathetic nervous system.

People suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis would also have to take care they didn?t wear certain clothes, as sweat shows better on certain materials. For example, if a person wears silk, the sweat leaves very obvious wet rings which lead to low self esteem and embarrassment.

How Old Are You When You Develop This Condition?

Though axillary hyperhidrosis can occur at any age, it has been observed to generally start to show around adolescence. Needless to say, this could be very hard for children who are often subject to teasing and cruel remarks from their peers. Often such remarks and ridicule are inappropriate and can have a damaging psychological effect,

This condition can also sometimes be triggered by anxiety, and it could very well worsen with increase in age. In fact, a person suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis might start avoiding social situations altogether, staying away from their friends and keeping mostly to themselves.

There are, however, certain treatments for this condition which can help people control it. For example, Drysol can help clog up the sweat pores temporarily, so as to reduce the amount of sweat they liberate. The disadvantage, however, is that this is only temporary. Drysol may also cause a skin irritation or cause your skin to burn. In event of such an occurrence, application of Drysol must be stopped immediately.

Botox injections are another alternative, however these may be expensive, since they generally have to be injected regularly.

Are There Any Long Lasting Treatments?

A few long term treatments also exist for axillary hyperhidrosis. EndoScopic Thoracic Sympathectomy is a new technique that stops the signal from the sympathetic nervous system that causes a person to sweat. This method thus stops all forms of hyperhidrosis, including axillary hyperhidrosis.

The surgery

Another method that is permanent is surgery. In this process, the nerves of the sympathetic system are cut out after they are located, so that the body stops producing sweat in a particular region. Some surgeons also use a method called clamping, by which they attach metal clamps to the nerves to stop it from influencing sweating. However, this technique results in a very low rate of success.

The patient will have to wait for many days before he or she is allowed to return to school to work. The treatment, however, is considered quite safe and has a 98% success rate. Thus, it is also extremely effective. If one suffers from axillary hyperhidrosis, it is best not to suffer silently: start working against it and consult your doctor.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that affects over 8 million people of America today. It’s more commonly known as “excessive sweating”. This can happen in the hands and feet, but the most common area people run into excessive sweating issues is in their underarms. While some of us have had the typical “piting out” happen to us from time to time, those who suffer from hyperhidrosis experience this problem on nearly a daily basis, and without warning.

Most people who have hyperhidrosis tend to put off the problem, without realizing that something is actually wrong. They brush it off as their body being “too hot”, but it is actually caused by a number of things, such as bacteria from the soaps and shampoos that you use on a daily basis to clean yourself to the nervous system in your body acting up when you get nervous or have any “fear” so to speak.

While many people try treating this condition with deodorants and antiperspirants, they find that these “solutions” only work temporarily. They only mask the symptoms, causing the problem to delay it’s reaction time. Once these treatments wear off, hyperhidrosis kicks back in and underarms become soaked, which in social situations can be awfully embarrassing. It’s not something people should have to worry about constantly.

So, what other alternatives are there out there? Plenty of them. In fact, a lot of people out there don’t realize how many alternative, natural treatments there are. Hundreds of people have actually had their problems eliminated by using natural methods of treatment. They’re great, because they work well, are accessible, and cost far less than any other treatments on the market.
